Masseur Wanted!!

Back from one holiday!..Ready for another!!! The final countdown - in 4 days i'll be on that looong looong flight home to my beloved friends and family. It hasn't quite sunk in yet but i'm sure i'll get more excited about this in the next few days!

My feet are sore from running, blistered from high heels. I pulled a muscle in my back in pilates this week..and i got a sore throat. Life is great!

This week has been a busy one! Got back from Malaysia on Sunday afternoon and before i knew it (or ready for it!) it was Monday morning and i was back at work..back in routine! Quite a shock..not a pleasant day! lol! Strangely enough the week passed quickly and before i knew it the weeked had arrived. On friday evening we decided to binge eat so we went to Triple O's..they serve the most delicious hamburgers and fries and i'm telling you..we stuffed our faces! Saturday was spent window shopping and preparing things for my return home.

Last night we went out for candace's friends birthday - Amanda - who just arrived in Hong Kong. All fair and well but only one problem... My lovely Candace signed us up for a 10km race this morning at 8AM!!! So at 6am our alarm rang and we reluctantly stumbled out of bed so we could be on our way to the other end of hong kong! The race was held at a country club and the place and views are amazing..only one problem... the race course was all hills!!!! and when i mean hills i mean 45degree hills! The majority of runners were stopping to walk cos they were too steep to run up! It was quite a let down but we finished the race anyway... in just under 1hr15min..hot and sweaty, sore and pissed off!! Why does Hk have so many hills! these races are too hard!!! Anyway its getting too hot now so no more races for me now - i'm switching to diving!Lovely! ;-) After the race we made our way home and literally were zombied-out for the rest of the day. We treated ourselves to a thai dinner and now i'm ready for bed!! All i need is a massage and i'm happy!

The next few days will be busy... i wish i didnt leave things for the last minute! Need to start packing my bags and preparing for my trip. I also have a sore throat so i think i should get myself to the doctor to make sure i get this under control before i travel on thursday!
Booo :-(

Candace sent me this cute pic today! Tomorrow i might get hold of some pics of our race! ;-)

Back to Basics!

Perhentian Island- Malaysia. Nightmare to get there .. 100% WORTH IT!!! This place is fantastic! Little wooden huts face the beach and the view is incredible: long sandy beaches, palm trees, the sound of the sea. It's cut off from the rest of the world..no cars, no roads, no internet.. just the blue sea, green hills and blue sky! My hut was 10m from the sea and i had a little porch with seashells on strings which clank around in the breeze. The toilets and showers are outdoors- toilets have no flushing (you have to scoop water from a bucket to flush manually) and the showers have no locks on the door (you can push a stone against the door to keep it closed). So now you know what i mean by 'back to basics!!' - it's like an episode from Survivor! You arrive here on a little boat and you literally have to jump into the sea holding your backpack on your head: no ferry..no jetty..it's as simple as mother nature created it!

Well to summarise the entire week is hard - but to put it simply the island is DIVINE! It is by far the best beach i have been on in south east asia. I spent the entire week in my bikini and barefoot..swimming, diving, lying on the sand, listening to music! I also slept so much!! How can you not sleep when you lie in bed and hear the sea right outside your door! BLISS! soo relaxing!

I did 8 dives in the week and it was amazing! The fish are so amazing- i just couldn't get enough! My favourite are clown fish because when you go really close they swim right up to your face and nibble you! CUTE!! Can't wait to do more diving! :-) The people I dived with were amazing too! We had some good laughs.

So now my holiday is over! Time to put my clothes back on. Time to dust the sand off my feet and wear my shoes. On a positive note- i can have a warm shower and a comfy poop! :-P

Also .. in less than 2 weeks i'll be on my way home.. so i guess my holidays aren't over yet!! ;-)

Still Standing ...

update! update! Wow the weeks are flying!! In 3 DAYS i will be on a plane to Malaysia and in 3 WEEKS ill be on a plane heading home! OOOHOOO! Yes..April is going to be a happy month! It's all looking good! ;-)

Unbelievable! It's monday again! Last week was pretty stressful. My toilet has been leaking for about a month now and when i told my employers about it they said they would send somebody to check it. Instead of sending a professional they sent one of the school cleaners equipped with a pair of gloves...and yes..you guessed it.. instead of fixing it she actually broke a pipe and the situation went from *drip-drip* to *water gushing all over my bathroom floor*! Because it was late afternoon they couldnt find someone to fix it so I had to spend the night mopping my floor. Needless to say i was furious! The next day i went to work - told them i would not go to school until someone fixed it- and went home again!! Of course a plumber showed up at midday.... the joys of blackmail! :-P

Other highlights from last week was a visit to the fun park with Graham. Actually i will use the term "highlight'' lighlty because in reality i was petrified and i have made an oath that i will never do this to myself again! I had never been to a fun park before (except when i was 7yrs old and only allowed on snails and teacups)... so i seriously had no idea what i was in for!! The rides are scary and pretty nauseating!! The whole time i kept thinking ''WHY would anyone do this to themselves?!'' And the worst of them all was one where you sit in a seat and then it slowly goes up to like 15 storeys high and plunges down! I screamed so hard i thought i might cough up my liver. Graham thought it was hilarious..he laughed the whole time...mostly at me! *shame*

Me-Lilly left for malaysia on Saturday so on friday night we had a little farewell dinner at our favourite thai restaurant. I love girly dinners! ;-) I also had a great Sunday lunch with Graham yesterday - very typical chinese food - Dim Sum - which i mentioned another time on my blog. Yesterday after lunch i braved the crowds and visited H&M which just opened in Hk a couple of weeks ago but has been jam-packed with crowds ever since! I needed a couple of tshirts and strappy tops for my holiday so i battled my way around and did some very efficient and cheap shopping! :-)

Beach here i come! :-D
